Field day is scheduled for this Friday, May 21st. The possibility of bad weather is very high. Due to the weather there will be a possibility of rescheduling to Monday, May 24th. We want to give our students the opportunity to do all of the outdoor games that we have planned. We will notify everyone with the final plan by Thursday. Thanks for patience and understanding while we navigate the weather!
The Gatesville bus will leave late this morning, Monday, May 17th. We are having to switch buses this morning unexpectedly. A bus will be at the stop, just late.

Congrats to the Jonesboro Angling Team for making it to state. They compete Sunday at Richland Chambers in Corsicana.
These teams could not make it without their sponsors and boating captains. When you talk about community support, the angling team displays tons of support!
The golf team travels to state in Kingsland Sunday. The boys will compete Monday and Tuesday.
We are extremely proud of this team. They have worked extremely hard and it shows!

Parents,
Field day is right around the corner! Next Friday, May 21st, we will be hosting field day starting in the morning. Parents are welcome to come and watch. I will be sending home a parent note with all the day of information as well as some things we ask of you on that day.
This year we are doing a full water field day. With that being said we instead of donating snacks this year we are asking for water balloon donations. Many of the stations have them and the more we have the better as they will go quickly. So if you would like to give to this years field day we will happily welcome and accept water balloons!
Expect a paper coming home today!
Update on tomorrow’s field trip for PK-2nd grade

From the Jonesboro Band Program we say greetings to our Jonesboro ISD Community. There is an opportunity this summer to send our band students to a band camp at Tarleton University in Stephenville, TX. The expense is $350 for a residence stay application or $150 for a commuter application from June 13th through the 17th. Band students interested in attending have received their applications and in order to help students with the cost, we are hosting a raffle. The following flyer has been distributed among students but if you are interested in helping but you cannot find a band student to purchase from, please comment below or contact Mr. Inman (254) 499 0156 to help purchase tickets. Tickets will also be located in the front office, thank you for your support and God Bless!

Week of May 10th update.
Monday, 9th-12th grades get their distance learning material. They will not be in campus Tuesday and Wednesday due to STAAR testing.
Tuesday is 3rd -8th grade math STAAR test. Pk-2nd is at the zoo.
Wednesday is 3rd- 8th grade reading STAAR. Pk-2nd is at the movies.
Thursday is 5th grade science STAAR.
