
FFA students that sold fundraiser meat/desserts:
Items will be delivered at 7:30 AM on Wednesday 11/11. We will have everything in the Ag classroom. Please make arrangements to pick up items ON WEDNESDAY. You can come anytime during the school day after 7:45AM.

The playoff t-shirt order forms are due Friday, Nov. 6th, at noon. If you have any questions please call Lisa Robuck.



The girls basketball scrimmage for today, Nov 3rd, has been cancelled.

November Breakfast and Lunch

The JH girls basketball game, Thursday Nov. 5th, will have limited seating. The basketball girls will be able to purchase tickets first. Then we will open sales up to the public. Tickets must be purchased at Jonesboro prior to the game.

The varsity basketball girls scrimmage at home, Tuesday, November 3rd, at 5.

Seating is limited for Thursday’s JH A game in Evant. The football players will be allowed to purchase tickets first, then we will open them up to the public if there are any left. Tickets must be purchased at the front office in Jonesboro prior to the game. Purchasing prices are $3 for adults $2 for students.
The JV and JHB games at home will run as they have all season.

Annual 6th grade salsa competition!


Cross country ran in their district meet yesterday in Mount Calm.
Sophomore Alissa Shumate finished 5th qualifying for regionals Nov 9th at TAMU Corpus Christi. Freshman Payten Manning finished 19th.
The junior high girls completed as well. Kodi Suggs placed 1st, Madison Manning placed 3rd, Willow Holland placed 9th, and Peyton Williamson placed 11th.
We are extremely proud of these girls. Yesterday’s race was a tough one due to the weather. The girls really showed toughness and grit running!!


There are 22 tickets left for Friday’s football game. These tickets will allow you to pay entry at the gate in Lometa. If you are interested in them, please contact Mr. Dossey.

November 16 CCYF/Major Pig Validation @ Civic Center 5:30-7:30. If your pig needs a ride contact Mrs.Gann.
November 18, CCYF Entry night @ Civic Center. If you pay online w a credit/debit card when completing fair entries you do not have to go. If you need to pay fair entries with a check or cash then you have to go.

Cheerleading Fundraiser
The JISD cheerleaders are raffling off this awesome Jonesboro Tumbler donated generously by Kasie McGinness.
Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
Tickets can be bought from and Varsity or Junior High Cheerleader as well as with Mrs. Sellers. Once again thank you for supporting our kids!


November 3rd there will be voting booths for Hamilton County Precinct 4 during polling hours at the school.

FFA/Jr FFA members: Sunday, 10/18 is the annual goat roping fundraiser. We will have cow patty bingo, draw the winner for our heifer drawing, and rope goats.
The flyer is attached with all of the entry information. We are requesting that all FFA/jr FFA members be present. Please bring a pre wrapped or pre packaged dessert as well. We will need help serving the BBQ lunch as well as clean up. The funds raised go back to our Jonesboro students so please be present. Thank you!
