While their seasons are FAR from over, this was their last joint home game. It has been a pleasure to watch these players cheer each other on and grow in the sport of basketball. We are extreme proud of each of them and love how they represent JISD.

Unfortunately the JH games Monday have been canceled by Gap. We have not been able to find replacement games, so it looks like the season is over.
Good news is both JH boys and girls are DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! Great seasons!
Both teams will be honored before the varsity girls game Tuesday.
Gholson has informed us the times will be pushed back for the games today. Girls will start at 1pm followed by the Boys.
Youth league basketball games have been postponed for this Saturday. We will resume with the schedule next Saturday in Jonesboro.
Temperatures have not allowed the roads to clear enough to ensure student safety. Because of this, JISD will cancel classes and all after school activities for Friday, Feb. 4th.
We have extra time built into the calendar and these days will not have to be made up.
The junior high and JV basketball games have been cancelled and more than likely will not be made up.
The varsity games are set for Saturday in Gholson. Varsity girls will play at noon with the boys to follow.
All little league basketball games scheduled for Jonesboro are still set to play. We are having to adjust the game times to accommodate all of the schools and their varsity games that have been rescheduled for Saturday. Please stay in contact with your coaches and the sports you app for those changes.
Also don’t forget Monday is a scheduled staff development day. We will see the students Tuesday.
Monday is also the last basketball games for junior high against Gap at home.

Lometa has called and cancelled our JV Girls game for tomorrow, Feb. 4th. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.
There will be no school for JISD for Feb 3rd, 2022. The road conditions are too bad to ensure the safety of our students.
All after school activities have been canceled as well.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will inform everyone about Friday as soon as possible.

We encourage everyone to register online. If you do so, please contact Kendra Byrom at the school to be placed on the correct team roster. If you do not tell the school you are on a Jonesboro team you might be placed on a Gatesville team.
If you would like to fill out a paper registration please return it to the school, with payment, before the deadline on the form.

Due to the late start tomorrow morning, we will not be serving breakfast. Also, lunch menu will change. We will be serving hot dogs, riblets and steak fingers as the entrée. The sides will be mac and cheese, baked beans, mixed fruit and milk. There will be no alternatives tomorrow.
Feb. 8th is a big game for Jonesboro ISD. Please come out to support our seniors and little league players.
