JISD will be allowed to bring teams to the Gatesville youth volleyball league. We will have a table set up at meet the teacher for information/entry.
You MUST register and pay online. When you register there will be an area for you to request a Jonesboro team.
Once you complete the registration please also email Kendra Byrom at kendra.byrom@jonesboroisd.net so we can keep a complete list of teams.

Incoming 7th grade students are required to have a Tdap booster and Meningococcal vaccine. Please BRING a copy of current immunization record to Nurse Kensing so your student’s record can be updated.
Just a reminder to all high school students that dual credit classes start next week. If you have not registered for classes with Mrs. Barnett, you need to do so asap.

Three-time state number sense champion Luke Maxwell was interviewed by Texas Math Mundo.
Celebrating UIL competitors can be challenging, as there are no bleachers for us to cheer them on and no live streams to watch the tests. Instead, we rely on send-offs that lead to nervously waiting for results. Interviews like this one are greatly appreciated as they allow us to celebrate students and their accomplishments.
JISD takes pride in having Luke as one of our students. He brings joy to everyone around him and brightens up every room he enters.
We are excited to see what Luke's senior year has in store and we know he will remain #1!

Legislative Update: Students In Possession of Vapes Will Now Be Sent to DAEP
As part of House Bill 114, students will now be placed in the District Alternative Education Program (DAEP) if the student possesses, uses, is under the influence, sells, gives, or delivers marijuana, THC, or an e-cigarette (vape) while on campus, within 300 feet of school property, or at a school-related event.
Parents are encouraged to talk to their student(s) about these new state requirements. It’s important that students understand the consequences if caught participating in any of the actions above.
