There seems to be a default reminder setting through evite for Prom. I have heard from several students today that they had received this reminder. The issue should be corrected, but I wanted to make sure that everyone is aware that Prom WILL NOT take place April 4th as originally planned. Please email me with any questions or concerns!
Thanks!

Governor Abbot has extended the school closure until May 1st, 2020.
As of know, our current plan of distance learning will continue as is. Administration at the school is diligent working to fine tune all of the learning opportunities for students and staff.
Please know that we truly miss all of the students and community members. The halls of JISD are lonely without you all there!!
If you have any questions please call us!

At this time the AR field is postponed. We will have to make decisions concerning points and requirements as well.

Work for this week can be picked up or dropped off on Wednesday, April 1st. You can drop off at the school from 8-4pm
OR
at Turnersville Community, Gatesville Civic Center, or The Barn Church going towards Hamilton from 5-6 pm. All three of these sites will have staff waiting to hand out work or pick it up from your child, Wednesday at the designated time.
If you have any questions or cannot make any of these times please call the school.

Class dojo is experiencing technical difficulties. Please be patient with us as we work with the company to fix the issue.

Thank you!!! We only have about 10% of the packets of students materials left at the school. If you were not able to pick yours up from the school today please call us to arrange pickup.
We truly appreciate all of the parents for staying committed to their child’s education during this time. We know this is hard on everyone.
A special thanks goes out to the teachers and staff. Your dedication and team work really showed today. Handing out the students material was seamless!
Jonesboro ISD truly is the greatest school!!

The youth fishing league has cancelled the tournament on April 4th and championship tournament on April 26th. I will let everyone know if it gets rescheduled. Contact Mrs. Smith at susan.smith@jonesboroisd.net if you have questions.

Remember that we are here till 6pm handing out materials for students.

Parents and athletes: please bring any uniforms/practice gear/equipment to turn in when picking up school work on Wednesday. Thank you.

After trying to coordinate work and delivery of materials we are just going to have students pick up all assignments from the school. We will be here from 8-4 Wednesday.
Sorry for the confusion and the changes. We are working through all of this as much as possible.

JISD Parents,
Listed below are some great ways to get your kids active while at home! Listed below are online resources as well as links to games that can be played outside. Sometimes the best exercise is letting your kids go outside and play unstructured. This keeps them active but allows them to use their own imagination while getting lots of exercise! Exercise/Play first thing in the morning helps to get their brains stimulated which helps for any instruction time you’re doing at home. I hope these links will help you while on this extended break. I will be posting different activities often on via our school Facebook & Dojo that will continue to help keep you littles active!
