Last week of school events!
🎼The band spring concert will be on May 25th at 6:30 in the cafeteria.
👩🎓👨🎓May 25th our seniors will do their senior walk through the school.
🤩May 27th will be the pk-8th grade awards. Pk-3 will start at 8:30. 4-8th grade will start at 10 am.
⏰May 27th is also an early release day.
🖤💛Graduation is May 28th at 5:30 in the gym.💛🖤
Field Day will be on for tomorrow Friday 21st. Again we appreciate the patience and can’t wait for a fun day with our kids tomorrow!

Jonesboro’s senior, Wade Foote and sophomore, Costin Allison placed 4th in the State Central Texas High School Tournament Trail. Super proud of these boys! They received an $800 scholarship for college!
Notes are going home with students today. It has a few things we’d like you to know about the event whether it be this Friday the 21st or next Monday the 24th. A firm decision will be made by tomorrow afternoon. Again we appreciate everyone’s understanding with navigating the weather.

Field day is scheduled for this Friday, May 21st. The possibility of bad weather is very high. Due to the weather there will be a possibility of rescheduling to Monday, May 24th. We want to give our students the opportunity to do all of the outdoor games that we have planned. We will notify everyone with the final plan by Thursday. Thanks for patience and understanding while we navigate the weather!
The Gatesville bus will leave late this morning, Monday, May 17th. We are having to switch buses this morning unexpectedly. A bus will be at the stop, just late.

Congrats to the Jonesboro Angling Team for making it to state. They compete Sunday at Richland Chambers in Corsicana.
These teams could not make it without their sponsors and boating captains. When you talk about community support, the angling team displays tons of support!
The golf team travels to state in Kingsland Sunday. The boys will compete Monday and Tuesday.
We are extremely proud of this team. They have worked extremely hard and it shows!

Parents,
Field day is right around the corner! Next Friday, May 21st, we will be hosting field day starting in the morning. Parents are welcome to come and watch. I will be sending home a parent note with all the day of information as well as some things we ask of you on that day.
This year we are doing a full water field day. With that being said we instead of donating snacks this year we are asking for water balloon donations. Many of the stations have them and the more we have the better as they will go quickly. So if you would like to give to this years field day we will happily welcome and accept water balloons!
Expect a paper coming home today!
