DISTRICT-WIDE TECHNOLOGY GOALS
GOAL 1:
Students will be afforded equal access to state-of-the-art
technology for the purpose of reinforcing basic skills, improving
higher-order thinking skills, increasing problem-solving ability
and developing more advanced communication and research skills.
GOAL 2:
Technology will be integrated in all areas of the
educational curriculum.
GOAL 3:
Improve communication between administrators, teachers,
parents, students and the Jonesboro community.
GOAL 4:
Initial and on-going training will be provided for
staff and students to prepare them to effectively utilize all
technology encountered on the campus.
GOAL 5:
To systematically secure, maintain, and upgrade
hardware equipment to current state-of-the-art technology to adequately
and successfully serve the district.
GOAL 6:
Staff Development – To require all staff to
attend comprehensive, ongoing training for appropriate strategies
and technologies in delivering instruction as provided by the
district.
GOAL 7:
Teachers and administrators will be afforded equal
access to technology for the purpose of planning and presenting
instruction, processing information, enhancing decision-making,
tracking student progress and improving communication.
